Winter Glam

Staying Warm & Stylish during the winter can be quite a balancing act. For starters, your closet picks are relegated to sweaters and depending on the part of the country you live in, it can go from light cardigans to turtlenecks layered under with long johns.
My key to staying stylish during the winter is a fabulous pea coat.

Whether you layer under or not, as long as the coat stays fly, you are all set. We usually migrate to the basics colors (black or grey) when picking winter coats..and this always work. However, you can also experiment with coats in bright colors.

Bright hues are in as trends now so you'll have plenty of options in the stores. A bright color coat can jazz up your look during the dark and deary days of the winter especially for dinner parties, etc.You also can pick out ones with little more flair..i.e fur trims, military style and or belted.

Make sure to pick a coat that flatters your body shape. An ill-fitting coat is a no no. One of the things about bright hue coats is that they can also hide the annoying lint seen often on black coats.

Price Range: Max $150
Xlia: Its left to your discretion. You could go with pea coats that cost about $50-$60 or invest in a high end brand. Just make sure it is flattering and keeps you warm.

Tips: Check out stores such as Burlington coat factory, Marshalls, HM, Macy's and even local your local Target
