Floral Happy

Lately, I've been in a floral mood for dresses. There is something very feminine about them. Floral dresses can be tricky as you don't want to come off as a Victorian wall paper. The wrong color scheme could make you look drabby. Paying attention to your styling is important- from accessories to the hair and make-up.

Your staples of gold, silver and or black accessories should be counted on to bring some sparkle to your dress.. Nude shoes could also pull off the look. also, based on the color scheme of your dress, you could pull of shoes/clutch in a specific color. Go for the color that's the least distributed in your dress to highlight it. That way, it won't clash with the dress. For the hair, subtle stying would do or resort to the pony tail or bun.
Although Ashanti's dress is not exactly floral but it is a great example of how not to wear a floral/printed dress. you don't want to look like you just hopped over for a BBQ.

Jessica's Look on the other hand is an example of "modernizing" a floral dress. With her gladiator sandals, she makes the floral dress come off as modern and hip. If you'll notice, everything else is subtle.
