I know I am looking forward to the red carpet and the show itself..hopefully its worth staying up for. Music awards red carpet are fun to watch and differs from other red carpets because its all about personality, a little playfulness and at times, being daring, IMO. Its definitely not about playing safe (well unless thats your style) or looking classic/glamorous like the Oscars. When it comes to red carpet fashion, you can go 4 ways: Best Dress, Safe Bets, Worst Dress and League of Your Own.
You know what they say, any publicity in Tinsel Town works so being on a best dress or worst dress would garner you just about the same attention. The safe bets are always the ones you may miss out on when looking up red carpet lists as they don't show up on either the best and worst dress lists. However every now and then, a safe bet may ascend to Best Dress or sadly descend to a worst dress list. A League of Your Own to me is for those fashion moments that leave you scratching your head - can't figure out if you love it or hate and after (aka Gaga).
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the stalwarts - Rihanna, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyonce (not sure she showing up), ; newbies - Glee Cast, Nicki Minaj (1st time appearance); Estelle, Janelle Monae; Budding Fashionistas -Fergie, Keri Hilson, Jennifer Hudson and Lady Gaga (after the meat dress, whats going to top it??).
