Emmanuelle Alt : Fierce Fashion

Emmanuelle has taken over French Vogue as the new Editor in Chief from Carine Roitfeld. Formerly the Fashion Director, she worked for Vogue Paris for about a decade and rose to fame on street style blogs also. Unlike Carine who had a flare for trends and feminine looks, Emmanuelle has stayed consistent to a "signature" Rocker Chic style: skinny leather pants and or cargo pants, strong shoulder jackets including mort and heels/boots.

 

 As Karl Lagerfeld puts it, big shoulders, long legs, tight jeans ". She could easily be a model for Balmain, for whom she has styled ads and runway shows in the past. It would be interesting to see how this translates into her reign at the helm of the magazine. Her certainly would translate as pure "bad @$$" and I would hope to see that - edgier, empowering, rocker, fashion forward and at same time fresh and diverse.
